The conference was co-hosted by Chongqing University and the Institute of Interstellar Intelligent Equipment Technology, and was strongly supported by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and the "Trusted Control System Professional Committee" of the Chinese Society of Automation.
Opening Ceremony
This international conference was hosted by Professor Song Yongduan, Dean of the School of Automation of Chongqing University. The topics of the conference include: artificial intelligence, autonomous unmanned systems, multi-agent systems, intelligent robots and emerging technologies. The conference brought together a large number of scholars from well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad, opening a top-level scientific and technological feast. Participants from 13 countries and regions including China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong attended the conference. Nearly 40 experts gave reports on the conference, and industry elites gathered to showcase their international academic style.
Professor Song Yongduan, Dean of the School of Automation of Chongqing University, presided over the meeting
At the opening ceremony, Yang Dan, Executive Vice President of Chongqing University, Xu Zhipeng, Director of the High-tech Division of Chongqing Science and Technology Commission, and Jin Tao, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Division of Chongqing Economic and Informatization Commission made opening speeches respectively. On behalf of the school, Vice President Yang Dan expressed his heartfelt thanks to the experts for their strong support and help in the construction of the automation discipline of Chongqing University. Vice President Yang Dan also stated that Chongqing University will further accelerate the construction of disciplines such as big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things in the “double first-class” construction in the future, and better meet the major strategic needs of the country and Chongqing. The meeting is an opportunity to carry out more extensive exchanges and cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutions to seek common development. Director Zhipeng Xu fully affirmed and highly appreciated the new breakthroughs and progress made in the 2nd International Conference on Autonomous Unmanned Systems. He believes that Chongqing is currently striving to build a "three-in-one" pattern of intelligent manufacturing, intelligent applications, and intelligent industries. The conference will focus on research, exchanges, and cooperation in frontier fields such as artificial intelligence, control, and automation, which will surely further promote the internationalization of Chongqing University. Upgrade, become a medium and bridge for industry-university-research cooperation, become a brand-new platform for technology integration, and play a positive role in promoting new progress in the field of artificial intelligence and automation in our city. Director Jin Tao also said that Chongqing University has been deeply involved in the field of automation for more than 30 years and has formed its own characteristics and advantages in the field of control science and engineering. Together with other scientific research institutes in the city, it has strongly supported the development of related industries in the city. The convening of the second International Conference on Autonomous Unmanned Systems can not only promote international cooperation and exchanges in the academic field of automation, but also vigorously promote the R&D and industrialization of unmanned systems technology.

The content of the conference mainly involves artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous systems, networked control systems, intelligent control, automation, robotics and emerging technologies (Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, smart buildings, smart grids, energy management systems, big data, electric vehicles And intelligent transportation) and other fields. Experts gave keynote reports one after another, showing the latest theories and methods as well as their applications in practice. Prof. Miroslav Krstic from the University of California, San Diego made an autopilot system for alleviating traffic congestion and reported the latest technology and theoretical methods for the control design of such systems. Professor Tamer Başar of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign introduced the application prospects of autonomous unmanned systems in network systems, especially in strategic information transmission. Başar introduced in detail many issues under the application prospects, such as communication, signal processing, information theory, and control issues, and expounded the research status of each direction. Professor Frank Allgower from the University of Stuttgart introduced a distributed economic model predictive control method for the optimized operation of the manufacturing system. Frank pointed out that with the advent of Industry 4.0, the industrial environment and the control tasks involved are undergoing a fundamental change based on cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things. He pointed out that Industry 4.0 is both an opportunity and a challenge for the control industry. Professor Ben M. Chen from the National University of Singapore introduced the industrial application of UAS. Combined with carefully produced videos, Professor Chen introduced a number of advanced UAV systems developed by his team, which have been successfully used in deep tunnel inspections, warehouse inventory counting, forest fires and other unused scenarios.
